Finally, the big day came. We had been practicing for almost 5 months. We practiced every day during their recess because that was the only free time we had to do it.
The kids were excited and nervous; trying to learn 500 words with their definitions and sentence is definitely not an easy task.
We went up against 7 other private schools each of them having four kids to represent their school. In other words, they went up against 28 other children.
We got to the final top 10. One of them got eliminated in 10th place, another in 8th, then 7th, and finally one of our last children was eliminated in 5th place.
Being the first time we participated I though we did sooo well!
It was so nerve racking every time they went up to the mic to spell out a word!
They did so well I'm extremely proud and happy!

I loev these contests that have spelling and all kind wiz stuff. ANd im sure next time u guys will be in top 3. Im sure u are enjoying ur life encouraging others is such a great encouragement to ur own soul isn't?
